Steward Integrated Preschool
Miss Judy, Miss Robyn and Miss Diane
It’s
been a fun-filled year in preschool! We've enjoyed watching your child grow in many ways since he/she started in our
class. We want to thank you for the help
and support you have given us. We truly
appreciate all that you do!
This
week we began our “Friendship” theme.
This will be the last theme for the school year. I started by reading the book entitled, Best
Friends by Sandi Hill and writing down the students’ responses to the
question, “What is a friend?” The
children made a friendship chain out of construction paper, stickers and
markers. They will make a friendship
quilt and Buddy Paintings. You’ll be
able to see all of these wonderful projects at the End-of-the-Year
Celebration. The children will also be
practicing the songs “Make New Friends” and “The More We Get Together” so that
they can sing them for you on the last day.
We have a couple of surprises in store for you as well!
We’re
very excited to have Mrs. Kopko visiting our class next week (6/9 and 6/10) to read a story
she wrote entitled, That Makes Me Happy! Mrs. Kopko has two children in our Tuesday/Thursday
class. After she reads, each child will
draw a picture of something that makes him/her happy. The picture will go on a “Happy Ring” along
with other pictures. The ring and a
description of the pictures will be sent home on the last day of school.
We
would like to welcome our new student, Ryan to our Tuesday/Thursday class!
We
hope you and your family have a wonderful summer!
